A little history

1940s Foynes, Ireland

Chef Joe Sheridan created Irish Coffee for cold travelers at Foynes airbase in Ireland. Travel writer Stanton Delaplane later helped bring it to San Francisco’s Buena Vista Cafe, where it became an institution.
